Following received from Nanking Telegram No.53,
June 12th.
Begins:-
Addressed to Peking No.53, repeated to Shanghai.
Doctor Wang told me today confidentially for your information that resignation of Chinese Minister at Washington has been accepted and extraterritoriality
negotiations will be transferred here.
He said Central Executive Committee meets tomorrow
for two or three days after which President will
probably leave for Kiangsi.
Report of shooting of General Ho Ying-chin untrue. General has since telegraphed to the Government. Chen Ming-shu has rejoined his old troops in Kiangsi
preparing for march on Canton.
Doctor Wang expressed confidence and seemed cheer- ful. He thought Canton coalition might disintegrate during development of government attack on communists which was most popular whilst civil war was most un-
popular.
